General Information

This is a great trip where we take you off beaten tracks to see the real Turkey. While we travel, we follow parts of Lycian way before arriving at Sdyma, located approximately 1 hour away. Sdyma is a little hamlet built on ruins with no running water; water is still drawn from communal well. We'll take a short trek in the local village where guests can view ruins from their back gardens. We' ll visit a small mosque from 1940 which was built with ancient stones. Lunch is next at a local house, where guests will be shown how to cook some Turkish dishes. We'll get to see the local life in Sdyma village. After lunch guests will be driven through the local village, passing nomads and visiting the Carpet Weavers' Association where carpets are handmade using tradional weaving techniques. After the stop at C.W.A, we'll visit the Pinara ancient city to see the famous temple shaped tombs.
